About ENRO
Mandate
The Ormoc City Environment and Natural Resources Office operates with the following mandates:
- Complete and maintain forest cover targets within city focus areas by 2027 based on City Forest Land Use Plan.
- Promote strict regulation on resource utilization and promote its responsible use.
- Implement effective, well-coordinated, and strict environmental enforcement and conduct of sustainable solid waste management program under the Solid Waste Management Plan.
- Sustain monitoring and effective management of natural resources against anthropogenic activities.
- Promote a community-based and socially coordinated projects, programs, and activities.
- Collect environmental data to inform policy formulation and project prioritization.
Mission
To ensure responsible utilization and protection of Natural Resources through strict enforcement and implementation of environmental laws, rules, regulations, plans, programs, projects and activities.
Vision
A progressive resilient city that provides for its constituents the basic through ensuring sustainable balance between resource utilization and conservation.
